Bear Alphabet Matching

In this activity, kids will find and match the letters A to Z. Moving letters into the bear’s mouth trains them in precise movements and develops skills that will be used in daily life as well. Let’s make this bear box.

What you’ll need

  • Chanafavors Free Printables www.chanafavors.com (Link in Bio)
  • Alphabet Letters
  • Cardboard Box
  • Cutter Knife
  • Glue

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors free printable files. Cut out the shape of the bear, the mouth hole, and the dotted line on the bear’s belly. Glue only the bear’s head and stick it on a small cardboard box.
  2. Cut the letter strips and join the strips together to form A to Z. Put the letter strip in the bear’s belly and attach the two ends together to form a continuous strip with the paper box centered.

How to play

  1. Move the letter strip to select a letter to display on the bear’s belly.
  2. Encourage your children to say the sound of the letter and choose the matching letter to put in the bear’s mouth.
  3. Repeat the process until eight characters are complete. Progress on if your children are confident.

Tips

  • You can start with A or choose a random letter depending on your child’s level. You don’t have to go through all the letters.
