Homemade Stamps

Stamping is not only fun but also helps in early childhood learning. In this activity, children make their own stamps by writing with a pointed stick on soft material. This will help them develop muscle strength and endurance for writing. Let’s do it.

What you’ll need

  • Chanafavors Free Printables www.chanafavors.com (Link in Bio)
  • Foam Container
  • Pointed Sticks
  • Finger Paint
  • Paint Roller
  • Cutter Knife

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors free printable file. Cut out a 1/4 circle and place it onto the foam sheet (I got it from a used container).
  2. Place the foam on the table.

How to play

  1. Show children how to write on the foam. Hold the pointed stick like a pencil and press it to the foam to make the pattern you want.
  2. Roll the finger paint in the tray with a paint roller so that the paint adheres to the roller evenly. Roll the paint onto the stamp.
  3. Place the stamp on the paper with the colored side facing down. Then roll the stamp again with a clean roller.

  • Repeat 3 more times for a full circle pattern.

Adult supervision is required for any activity presented by CHANA and Chanafavors.
