Public Restroom Signs

In this activity, children will learn basic public restroom signs and who uses which rooms. Although it is still controversial about the separation of restrooms, children should still learn the basic signs in case they need to use them so they can use them with confidence. Let’s get started.

What you’ll need

  • Chanafavors Free Printables www.chanafavors.com (Link in Bio)
  • Cutter Knife
  • Cutting Mat
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Cardboard

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors free printable files. Cut out the image of people.
  2. Use a cutter to cut along the line of the door except the hinge sides. Fold and unfold the hinge sides to open and close both doors.
  3. Glue the sheet with the door images to the cardboard and the sheet with the restroom images, except for the door picture area.

How to play

  1. Teach children about the basic restroom symbols.
  2. Pick a picture of a person and talk about their appearance. Ask the children which bathroom this person should go to.
  3. Repeat with the remaining pictures.
