Dropper Painting Butterfly

To help children build fine motor strength and improve pencil grip

This activity helps children build fine motor strength and improve their future pencil grip. Children use their fingers to control the dropper to get the desired amount of color in the desired area. Let’s do it.

What you’ll need

  • Chanafavors Printables
  • Laminator and Laminating Pouches
  • Hot Glue Gun and Sticks
  • Liquid Dropper
  • Food Coloring

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors printable file. Laminate the worksheet.
  2. Run the glue gun along the lines to create a small border around the image. Wait until dry.
  3. Make a palette of food coloring and water.

How to play

  1. Place the worksheet in front of your children. Shows how to gently squeeze the dropper to fill an area with food coloring.
  2. Invite the children to try and paint the picture until the entire area is filled.
