This activity encourages children to read the names of fruits and vegetables aloud. Then look for the picture of the fruit or vegetable that matches the picture card with a DIY magnifying glass. Once the child is confident in each word, we can add more words and picture cards. Let’s do it.
What you’ll need
- Adhesive Tape
- Permanent Marker (Red)
- Pen (Red)
- Scissors
How to Set Up
- Print the Chanafavors free printable file. Cut out the picture cards.
- Attach the clear to the cross-section of a tape roll. Paint on clear tape with a red permanent marker.
- Cover the pictures of fruits and vegetables on the worksheet with a red pen.
How to play
- Choose one of the picture cards and ask your children to put it on the matching basket.
- Encourage them to read the name aloud. Ask them to find matching pictures with the red magnifying glass.
- Follow the same steps until all the word cards are read.
