Lucky Four-Leaf Clover

In this activity, children will learn to make unique colored paper and practice hands-on skills and learn a little bit of fractions and geometric structures. Get lots of birds with one stone in this simple activity. Let’s see how to do it.

What you’ll need

  • Chanafavors Free Printables www.chanafavors.com (Link in Bio)
  • Paper
  • Finger Paint
  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick

How to Set Up

  1. Put a sheet of paper on the table. Have your child add different colors to the left edge of the paper as they like. Scrape the cardboard paint from left to right edge to create a unique colored paper.
  2. Cut the colored paper in half. Make a triangle. Fold and cut off the excess to get a square.

How to play

  1. Start with a square of colored paper with the colored side up. Fold the square in half and unfold. Repeat in another way. Turn the white side up. Fold the paper in half diagonally and unfold. Repeat in another way.
  2. Fold the paper in half horizontally and push both sides inward following the creases you already made. Place the heart-shaped template on the folded paper so that the corners match. Cut the folded paper into a heart shape. Cut another heart out of the remaining colored paper and paste it on top of the folded paper.
  3. Attach the folded heart to the jumbo stick with double-sided tape. Flip the heart down to get a lucky four leaf clover.
