Curiosity is the raw material of creativity. This activity creates wonders for children and give them the opportunity to ask questions and try to find answers. Children also learn about the properties of air, feel that they can put it in the bag, squeeze it and hold it. Let’s get started.
What you’ll need

- Permanent Marker
- Scissors / Glue Stick
- Masking Tape
- Straw
- Paper Cups
- Plastic Bag
How to Set Up
- Print out the Chanafavors free printable files.
- Place a thin plastic bag on top of the balloon template and have your children color the balloon. Then put a straw at the mouth of the bag and wrap it with masking tape.
- Color the house image on the template. Cut it out and stick it on a paper cup. Make a straw-sized hole in the bottom of the paper cup. Insert the straw into the hole and keep the balloon bag in the cup.
How to play
- Blow air into the balloon bag through the straw. Notice that the balloon bag has inflated.
- Children can try to hold and squeeze the balloon and then inflate it again.
- Talk about the properties of air.
Tips
- Make a balloon for each player for hygiene.
