Threading Hot Dogs

To help your child practice fine motor control and increase finger strength

In this activity, kids put ketchup and mustard on hot dogs by threading. Threading not only helps children practice fine motor control and increases their finger strength, it also increases concentration. Let’s get started.

What you’ll need

  •  Chanafavors Printables
  • Cardboard
  • Scissors / Glue Stick
  • Awl
  • Yarn

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors printable file.
  2. Stick the Hot Dog on the cardboard, cut and make 8 holes with the tailor awl at the marked positions.
  3. Remove the pointed ends of the toothpick. Cut the yarn and attach it to the toothpick with clear tape.
