Light Refraction

This is a super easy science activity for the day you don’t want to do much! Looking through the water, lines appear to bend because light slows down and changes direction as it travels from air through water and back from water through air. The bending of light is called refraction. Let’s show this to the kids.

What you’ll need

  • Clear Glass
  • Water
  • Chanafavors Free Printables

How to Set Up

  1. Print out the graphic design papers from Chanafavors Free Printables.
  2. Set up a table against the wall and put a glass of water on the table.
