Flipping Outfits

In this activity, children not only paint the boy’s outfits as they want, but also learn to gently turn the pages. Parents can take this opportunity to show that pages can tear if not flipped carefully. It’s a great start for kids to learn to handle and appreciate books. Let’s print it out.

What you’ll need

  • Chanafavors Free Printables www.chanafavors.com (Link in Bio)
  • Magic Markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick

How to Set Up

  1. Print out the Chanafavors free printable file. Have your children paint the outfits as they want and cut out the outfits.
  2. Divide the landscape paper into 9 equal parts. Cut along a horizontal line divided into 3 rectangles in the left and right columns as shown in the video. Fold and unfold along the vertical lines.
  3. Stick the image of the boy with the outfit in the center column of the paper with glue. Fold the right column and attach the image of the boy with the other costume to the paper. Make sure it’s in the same position as the center image. Repeat the steps in the left column.

How to play

  1. Show your children how to hold the paper without crumbling it and gently move the paper all the way to the other side.
  2. Talk about the details of the boys’ outfits and encourage your children to tell stories.
