How to Set Up

1. To prepare, print and place 3 cloud landscape playmats on cardboard, arranging them with the first page above, the second page in the middle, and the third page at the bottom. Cover the writing area with clear tape.
2. Write double-digit numbers to create math problems below.

How to play

1. To begin playing, arrange blue numbers on the clouds, with ones on the right and tens on the left. Then, place base-one blocks for ones and base-ten blocks for tens accordingly.
2. Afterward, add the numbers in the ones column on the right and place the blocks to match the sum in the bottom row. Show carrying over by moving base-ten blocks to the bottom tens.
3. Finally, sum the tens, add base-ten blocks as needed, count the total, and write the answer.
