Whale Spout Counting

To practice cutting, number recognition and sequencing

In this activity, children practice using scissors to cut simple strips in one go. Cutting and sticking is a good brain training for kids. Children also improve number recognition and sequencing. Let’s do it.

What you’ll need

  • Chanafavors Printables
  • Scissors
  • Masking Tape
  • Cutter Knife / Ruler

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors printable file.
  2. Cut out the number strip with a cutter knife.
  3. Place masking tape on the back of the whale spout with the adhesive side facing up.

How to play

  1. Invite your children to cut the strip for numbers.
  2. Ask the children to find number 1, 2, and so on. Place the numbers on the whale spout accordingly.


Adult supervision is required for any activity presented by CHANA and Chanafavors.
