Learning to Tie Shoelaces

Practice makes perfect. In this activity, children can learn to tie shoelaces. A sense of accomplishment boosts self-confidence and a can-do attitude that helps overcome life’s challenges. Let’s do this for them.

What you’ll need

  • Shoelaces
  • Cutter Knife
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Cardboard

How to Set Up

  1. Print the shoe image from Chanafavors free printable file. Let your kids paint the shoe the way they want and cut it out.
  2. Glue on cardboard and make holes for eyelets. Make one for your demonstration and one for your child for practice.
  3. Thread the shoelaces into the holes, leaving the ends of the laces on both sides.
