Sensory Bin helps children to calm down and focus on what is in front of them and stimulate their senses. In this earthworm digging game, kids explore and learn through hands-on play to find earthworms in trays and match their location or color. Let’s get started.

What you’ll need

  • Tray
  • Riceberry Rice
  • Scissors
  • Tweezer

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors printable file, cut out the earthworms.
  2. Place the grains and earthworms in a tray to prepare a sensory bin.

How to play

  1. Ask your child find all the earthworms and remove them from the tray with tweezers.
  2. Invite them to try placing the earthworms in their corresponding locations on the earth page.
  3. Try using different colored earthworms to help your child learn and match colors.


  • Use a large pair of tweezers or DIY tweezers made of jumbo sticks to fit your child’s hand.
  • You can change the material in the sensory bin to let the child learn something new.
