This drawing activity helps children practice hand and finger movements in different directions to find a comfortable pencil grip. It’s a great way to work on fine motor and visual skills for writing. Let’s print this.

What you’ll need

  • Transparent Plastic
  • Masking Tape
  • Whiteboard Markers

How to Set Up

  1. Print the Chanafavors printable file.
  2. Place the sheet in a plastic folder so whiteboard marks can be erased.

How to play

  1. Point to the worm and describe the barrier between the worm and the apple.
  2. Show the child how to draw a path around the obstacle from the worm to the apple. Erase the marker. Change the worksheet and repeat the steps.
  3. Invite your child to draw the path from the worm to the apple.
